Walking With Jesus

Good Enough For Him

Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me;
He had no designer clothes to wear
But he walked upon the sea;
Though he had no riches here on earth
To heaven he held the key;
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me.

He came to this world a newborn babe
And slept on a bed of hay,
His childhood was filled with simple things
And so little time for play;
He grew up to be a fine young man,
A carpenter's son was He;
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me

He lived in a world of prejudice,
When Christians were mocked and scorned;
Where all of the sounds of sinfulness
Were heard above Gabriel's horn;
He came to this earth to pay a price
And to set the sinners free;
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me.

Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me;
He had no riches in bank accounts,
No fame or college degree;
But He was the chosen Son of God,
The One who could set us;
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me
