Good Enough For Him

Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me
He had no designer clothes to wear
But he walked upon the sea
Though he had no riches here on earth
To heaven he held the key
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me.

He came to this world a newborn babe
And slept on a bed of hay
His childhood was filled with simple things
And so little time for play
He grew up to be a fine young man
A carpenterís son was He
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me

He lived in a world of prejudice
When Christians were mocked and scorned
Where all of the sounds of sinfulness
Were heard above Gabrielís horn
He came to this earth to pay a price
And to set the sinners free
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me

Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me
He had no riches in bank accounts
No fame or college degree
But He was the chosen Son of God
The One who could set us free
Whatever was good enough for Him
Should be good enough for me
