Moonbeams Dance Upon The Waves

She sits in quiet reverie,
And gazes o'er the rippling sea,
Enjoying the tranquility;
While moonbeams dance upon the waves.

There’s peace throughout the earth tonight
The moon and stars are shining bright;
And like a group of carefree sprites,
The moonbeams dance upon the waves.

In waters cold and dark and deep
Souls of the lost are fast asleep;
While nighttime fishes jump and leap
And moonbeams dance upon the waves.

As rocks along the shoreline are
Lit briefly by a falling star,
The shadows beckon from afar -
And moonbeams dance upon the waves.
