There’s heroes and villains in all walks of life,
There’s laughter and teardrops, there’s pleasure and strife;
There’s joy and there’s sorrow, there’s sunshine and rain,
But heroes and villains will both cause you pain.
Now heroes will bury their feelings too deep,
While villains make promises they never keep;
Just when you need them they both will be gone,
For heroes and villains will both lead you on.
There’s heroes and villains in cities and towns,
There’s success and failure, there’s ups and there’s downs;
There’s right and there’s wrong and there’s good and there’s bad,
And heroes and villains will both make you sad.
Now you will find heroes so gentle and kind,
They’ll tug at your heart strings and mess with your mind;
And you will find villains who will treat you so good,
That they’ll make you think they’re just misunderstood.
There’s heroes and villains wherever you go,
There’s love and rejection, there’s highs and there’s lows;
There’s dreams and there’s nightmares, there’s smiles and there’s frowns,
But heroes and villains will both let you down.
