A blanket of white
Now covers the earth
Like a newborn child
Just after birth

The lakes are frozen
Itís winter again
Jack Frost is busy
Painting window panes

Many trees now stand
With their branches bare
The flowers and birds
Are no longer there

But still there is beauty
In all of this white
If youíll take a walk
On a winter night

A peaceful silence
Wherever you go
The earth is resting
Beneath the snow.
