Hopeless Dreaming

Like a ship on the ocean,
Adrift without a sail,
With no lighthouse to guide me,
I dream to no avail.
Like a leaf that has fallen,
Just blowing in the wind,
No direction to follow,
On dreams I canít depend.
For my dreams are all hopeless,
They never will come true,
My life is pale, compared
To all I want to do.
Like a book thatís never read,
Or a song thatís never sung,
Still waiting to come alive,
My dreams are ever young.
