**LOVE is having faith and trust in your loved one, even when you are not together, and remembering that out of sight does not always mean out of mind.
**LOVE is accepting your loved one as he or she is, acknowledging that we all have faults and failings because we are human and not one of us is perfect.
**LOVE is putting your loved one before yourself, because his or her happiness is important and seeing him or her happy makes you happy; it warms your heart, thrills your soul, and gives you strength.
**LOVE is letting go, letting your loved one do what he or she must do in order to achieve success, happiness, and peace of mind.
**LOVE is trying to understand your loved one's point of view, whether you agree or disagree; and accepting that a difference of opinion is often a healthy thing that should lead to open, honest discussion.
**LOVE is never expecting your loved one to always win, to be number one; but asking only that he or she do his or her best.
**LOVE is never criticizing your loved one for making a mistake, but helping him or her to learn from it.
**LOVE is supporting your loved one's career choices and decisions, even if it's not what you think best; realizing that we each have different talents, and we each have our own paths to follow.
**LOVE is being there to share the bad times as well as the good times; often it is in the bad times that you are needed most; for LOVE means laughing, loving, rejoicing, and crying, together.
**LOVE is never being jealous of the other people in your loved one's life, like family members and close friends; we all need different things from different people, and those relationships help to make us who we are.
**LOVE is unconditional; it doesn't say "I'd love you IF..." but rather, says "I love you BECAUSE..."
**LOVE is not comparing your loved one with someone else's partner, and wanting him or her to change; we are all unique individuals and every relationship is different.
**LOVE is appreciating everything that your loved one does for you, the little gestures as well as the big things. "Little things mean a lot."
**LOVE is being your loved one's partner in every way, confidant, comforter, helpmate, admirer, friend and lover.
