Note: Ariana was apparently named after William’s first wife. It was common practice in those days to name a child of a second marriage after a deceased spouse. William also had a son named William, but it is not known if this was from his first or second marriage. Tragically, William Nurse lost five sons in the Storm of 1892, a Trinity Bay sealing disaster - John, Charles, William, Henry and George.
