They had five children: Ann; Susannah, who married John Bailey of John V and Jane; Elizabeth, about 1819; William, 1822; and Ananias, 1824. George had previously married Jane around 1802 and had: John, christened 01 February 1803; and Elizabeth, christened 01 December 1805.

Note: William Bugden died 23 December 1843, at Georgeís Brook, Smithís Sound, Trinity Bay. However, the burial did not take place until four months later, on 30 April 1844, from St. Paulís Anglican Church, Trinity. The burial was conducted by H.J. Fitzgerald, M.A. The circumstances of his death are not known, but it is possible that he may have drowned and the body not recovered until four months later. He was the son of William Bugden and Mary Verge; brother of Thomas who married Maryís sister, Rose.
