- In the marriage record, John Dominy was listed as a fisherman and his place of residence was Jersey Harbour. Sarah Engram's place of residence was Little Bay. In the birth records for his children John was listed as a Planter.
- Mary Jane and Levi were listed as being “of John and Mary,” which indicates that the mother may have been Mary Sarah but preferred the name Sarah because that’s how she was always known.
- Robert, son of John and Sarah, who was usually known as Bob, and was not married, drowned on the way to Gaultois.
- On 12 July 1876 Emily Dominie witnesses the wedding of Priscilla Dominey, widow of Cape La Hune, indicating there may have been some relationship to either Priscilla, who was at Deer Island when she first married, or her deceased husband, John Dominie of Cape La Hune.

Notes:
- Records show that there were Bobbitts at Bay D’Espoir in the early to mid-1800s, so Morgan, who appears to have been Catholic, may have been born there.
- Emily and Morgan may also have had Jonas, born circa 1906 at Little Bay, killed in an accident at Conn River on 20 October 1915, at the age of 9 years.
- Family information is that Emily died after she and her husband moved to Sydney, Nova Scotia. Records show When they moved is not known but it appears that they were living at Conn River in 1915.

Notes:
- Thomas and Hannah were married 17 years before his death but seem to have had no children. No baptism records have been found. After his death, Hannah married again to Thomas Garland, merchant at Gaultois, on 17 December 1911 at Gaultois. They were married by Canon Bishop with witnesses William R. Andrews and Effie Garland. Unfortunately, just over 3 years later, in March 1915, Thomas died of dropsy, at 63 years.
- In 1921 Hannah, a widow, was living at Gaultois with Allis Garland, widower at 33. She was listed as ‘Mother-in-law’ but was more likely to have been his stepmother.

- In both marriage records, Levi was listed as a Fisherman of Little Bay.
- According to family information, Martha Jane was the sister of Eli Stickland, son of William and Mary and, therefore, Martha Jane was their daughter. No baptism record for Martha Jane has been found.
- Cecil Dominie and his wife Clarinda had no children. They adopted William Northcotte and a girl who later married Hayward Strickland. Cecil was a carpenter who built dories, barrels and other things. He and his family went to Morrisville during the resettlement.
- Harold Dominie, born October 1908 at Piccaire, was living with Benjamin [Apr 81] and Susanna Coombs in 1921, listed as ‘Niece’, which should be nephew. He was still there in 1935.
- Martha Dominie, born September 1912 at Piccaire, was living with Abram [Aug 91] and Catherine Coombs in 1921, listed as niece.
- It is sad that the siblings were not brought up together but at least they were raised by relatives in the same community and no doubt had close contact with each other.

- John Strickland was the brother of Martha Jane Strickland, who married Elizabeth Ann’s brother Levi.
