Ever Elvis

Ever Elvis

I Donít Care

Earthquakes, volcanoes and floods
Shatter the world these days,
But the death of Elvis has shattered my heart,
To remain in pieces always;
There seems to be so many things
Happening everywhere,
News of the world means nothing to me
For somehow I donít seem to care.

Oceans and rivers and streams
Still run on their way to the sea,
While many tears fall from our eyes
Making it so hard to see;
The natural things still continue
On land, on the sea, in the air,
But these little things mean nothing to me
For somehow I donít seem to care.

You know I donít want you to grieve,
A voice whispers in my ear,
I want you please to stop crying for me
And dry up all of those tears.

But how can I lose this feeling
Of sadness and deep despair,
There must be a way to do it
But somehow I donít seem to care.
