Though the man himself is gone,
His memory will linger on,
Folks will still remember him,
Watch his films and sing his songs.
He was the man who, from the start,
Found a place within our hearts,
The bond between us grew so strong,
How very sad we had to part.
When Heaven calls we must obey,
Whether it be night or day,
As Elvis went to eternal rest,
We will we also go some day.
So now we have to say goodbye,
Each with a teardrop in his eye,
You’ll live forever in our hearts;
For now goodbye, Elvis, goodbye.
