Ever Elvis

Elvis, Through My Eyes

I see someone who was always kind,
Thoughtful and caring, with a gentle touch;
Loyally trusting in those close to him,
Getting so little but giving so much;
I see a man who did give his all
To bring a little joy to many lives,
Never once complaining if he hurt -
That's how I see Elvis - through my eyes.

I see someone who did honestly
His earthly goods with all his friends share,
In the true spirit of brotherhood,
With the kind of unselfish love that's rare;
I see a man with a heart so pure,
Whose love and devotion were lasting ties
Between him and those who felt the same way -
That's how I see Elvis - through my eyes.

I see someone with a troubled look
Of sadness and loneliness on his face,
Disappointed because his love was betrayed
And seeking for love his soul can embrace;
I see a man who will always live
In the hearts of his fans, for strong the ties
That bind them together for eternity -
That's how I see Elvis - through my eyes.
